Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, and Corning Options Trades

It has been a long time since I have placed any trade. It is nice to get back into it, even if it is only slightly. I have placed three trades on March 21, 2013. I am considering a fourth.

The Trades

1. 10 contracts of Cisco (CSCO) January 2014 $30.00 Calls @ $0.06

2. 10 contracts of Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) January 2014 $2.50 Calls @ $0.15

3. 5 contracts of Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) January 2015 $3.00 Calls @ $0.25

Planned Trades (Unknown number of contracts):

1. Corning (GLW) January 2014 $17.00 Calls @ < $0.20

2. Corning (GLW) January 2015 $25.00 Calls @ < $0.10

I may or may not grab the Corning contracts. I have not decided as of March 28, 2013.

New Report

I debated for a while whether to write my specific investment theories. I decided a while back, even when I was not trading, that I never wanted to go into my specific trading strategies. I do not mind listing my trades as I did here. I always planned on doing that, but I wanted to avoid giving my reasons. It was my hope that by avoiding my specific reasoning, I would not have imitators.

Then I thought there was much to be learned from the reasons of specific trades. If you have read my articles, then you will not be surprised by any of the trades above. I have been honest about my opinion of these. I know I have been light on targets, but I usually give broad ranges that are far out. I mentioned Cisco $30 or $40 once it gets on the right path. Alcatel-Lucent has been discussed ad nauseum. Corning I just went over a tightly coiled spring that will sprint once it gets started.

The specifics that pushed these trades though, are available on Archivist Publications in a brand new premium report. It is a short quick one. I have released my overall opinion with for free. I make no qualms about only wanting the most diehard people to be giving money to hear more detail about what I have to say.

It is not expensive. It is only $1, because I will be releasing a companion piece that is all theory. It will outline a strategy and the theoretical points in details for . I will release the strategy for free, but without the background. The paid documents are for people like me. I like to hear the process and the thinking, because it gets my wheels turning. Hence, I find little value in trade alerts without an explanation.

I mean they are great as trade alerts, but some background helps me learn. I also love the finer details of a strategy. Rather than carry out the strategy like a set of instructions, I like to internalize it into my thinking. It makes me a better thinker in all aspects. I apply points of finance, philosophy, economics, history, and a whole mess of other stuff into my thinking about other stuff. I like to reason by comparison, and I will connect historical battles to a stock movement in my head. Or use betting strategies in a strategy game. My head is a complex mass of goop.

Pick up the $1 report if you want explanation of my trades. One day I shall use a small membership service and just give away all things under there. Like $5 a month and you have access to everything including the pricey Alcatel-Lucent report for one low fee, as long as you become a subscriber.

Speaking of the Alcatel-Lucent report. The price dropped to $20, and you can still get 25% off by signing up for the email list. Also, you can apply the 25% report to the combination of both reports. You do need the Alcatel-Lucent report though. The other one is just a buck, so no need for a discount code.

Stay tuned for a new forum soon.
